小鼻豬的玩伴們!炭公子與小斑點Xiaobi’s Playmates! Tan and Spotty

如果有一隻跟小鼻豬「相反」的小豬出現,會跟小鼻豬產生什麼火花呢?What if a little pig who is the opposite of Xiaobi showed up? What sparks would fly between them?

如果加入新的物種,又該長怎麼樣才能看得出來他與小豬們來自同一個小世界呢?And if a new species joined in, how should it look so that everyone could tell it comes from the same little world as the pigs?

以上兩個問題是炭公子、小斑點誕生前,在創作者腦海中飄過的疑問。These two questions were drifting through the creator’s mind before Tan and Spotty were born.

於是便出現了沉穩中帶一點傲嬌的炭灰色小豬——炭公子;以及疑似帶有一顆豬鼻的乳牛——小斑點。And so along came a charcoal-grey pig, calm with a touch of tsundere: Tan. And a cow who seems to have a pig’s snout: Spotty.

每次創作者畫到三隻小夥伴同框的畫面時,總覺得能聽到小鼻豬的歡笑、能理解炭公子的無奈、能與小斑點一起觀察每一個互動細節。我們也因此慢慢開始期待,大家也能透過作品體會到這些小夥伴們玩在一起時,流露的快樂與生命力。Every time the creator drew the three little friends in one frame, it felt possible to hear Xiaobi laughing, to understand Tan’s exasperation, and to watch every small interaction alongside Spotty. Little by little, we began to hope that through these works you would feel the joy and liveliness that pours out when these little friends play together.

在我們的「角色圖鑑」裡,則補足了一些畫面中較難完整傳達給大家的訊息。Over in our Characters section, we have filled in some of the things that are hard to convey fully in a single picture.

例如炭公子由於不擅言語,所以習慣透過行動表達他的關心;例如看起來有點迷糊的小斑點其實是個細節觀察大師。另外也包含了他們對生活的期望和想法。For instance, Tan is not good with words, so he is used to showing that he cares through actions. And Spotty, who looks a little scatterbrained, is in fact a master at noticing details. Their hopes and thoughts about everyday life are in there too.

你們會發現,這兩隻跟小鼻豬比起來沉靜許多的小夥伴,也有很多屬於他們的小心思跟小煩惱。You will find that these two, so much quieter than Xiaobi, also carry plenty of little thoughts and little worries of their own.
